Terms of service
Last updated · 2026-05-17
These terms set out the agreement between you and Parcel2ship Ltd (a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 48–52 Penny Lane, Liverpool, L18 1DG) for use of the parcel2ship website and shipping platform. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms.
What we provide
parcel2ship is a software platform. We connect to the sales channels you ask us to, pull in your orders, route each parcel to the carrier service you have configured, generate labels and manifest documents, and write tracking information back to your sales channels. We are software, not a carrier — we do not physically collect, transport or deliver parcels.
Your account and your responsibilities
- You will keep your account credentials secure and you are responsible for activity carried out under them.
- You will provide accurate information about your business, the parcels you ship, and the destinations they go to. Errors in this data (wrong weight, wrong address, missing customs information) can cause shipments to fail or attract surcharges from carriers — those costs are your responsibility.
- You will comply with the rules of the carriers and sales channels you connect through us — for example carrier prohibited-and-restricted items lists, dangerous-goods regulations, customs declarations and marketplace policies.
- You will not use the platform to ship items that are illegal under UK law, that infringe third-party intellectual property, or that breach sanctions.
Carriers are separate businesses
When you dispatch through parcel2ship, the actual carriage is performed by a third-party carrier (for example Royal Mail) under their own terms. We do not control carrier transit times, surcharges, customs outcomes, lost parcels or claims handling. We will help you raise carrier issues, but our service is the orchestration layer — not the carriage itself.
Fees and invoicing
Fees are set out in the commercial agreement we sign with you. Unless agreed otherwise, we invoice weekly: every Monday morning we generate an invoice for everything dispatched in the previous calendar week. Invoices use the format P2S-YYYY-NNNN and are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to suspend service for invoices that remain unpaid past their due date, after reasonable notice.
Service levels
We aim to keep the platform available and accurate. We do not, in this version of the terms, offer a contractual uptime guarantee or service credit scheme. Planned maintenance windows are notified in advance. Unplanned incidents are communicated as quickly as we can and resolved as a priority.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the service in any twelve-month period is capped at the fees you have paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of goodwill or carrier-side losses (lost or damaged parcels, customs penalties, marketplace fines).
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement on written notice as set out in the commercial agreement. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period before we delete it in line with our retention practices described in the privacy policy.
Data protection
Each party will comply with applicable data-protection law. Our role, the categories of data processed, and the safeguards in place are described in our privacy policy. Where we act as a processor on your behalf, a separate data-processing addendum applies.
Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's non-public business information confidential and use it only for the purposes of the agreement.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising under them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be notified to active customers by email.
